In March 2009, our attorneys obtained a $3.2 million settlement for a carpenter injured who fell off a ladder on a large construction site in Manhattan, which says much about our legal capabilities. Unlike "jury verdicts" which are often lowered significantly on appeal, a fair settlement can often times provide certainty to the injured worker while doing so at a much quicker pace. Of course, sometimes cases are unable to be settled, and in November 2009 one of our clients obtained a $12 million dollar jury verdict in federal court for a work site injury.

- Meet with you and your family immediately, even in the hospital if needed, to fully understand your initial concerns and explain all your legal rights and protections. Unlike some law firms that have their "investigators" sign up cases, when you contact Turley, Redmond, Rosasco & Rosasco, you will always meet with an attorney first so that all your questions are fully answered and we can begin developing a winning strategy from day one;
- File a workers' compensation claim ( C-3 Form) on your behalf with the New York State Workers' Compensation Board to make sure any lost wages and medical care are provided for quickly and correctly. Most construction accident attorneys will simply refer you to another law firm for the workers' compensation part of your claim. However, we believe that your workers' comp benefits are an important part of a successful lawsuit, which is why we personally handle the claim "in house";
- Fully investigate and spend our own money to determine the facts of your construction site accident to identify all potential responsible parties, including General Contractors, other sub-contractors (scaffold or crane companies), property and building owners or manufacturers of defective equipment or tools.
- Identify whether any safety rules, regulations or laws were broken by the responsible parties on the construction site, including obtaining any OSHA and/or police reports through the Freedom of Information Law;
- Promptly report back to you the results of our investigation and any proposed lawsuit you may wish to file to protect you and your family in the future.
